It will be interesting to see Schwab, TD and the others release a trading software that handles both commission and fee business, respectively. Trade-PMR, Inc., launched an integrated product last year and quite popular amongst advisors. Some custodians are playing catch up in this space while others have been much more forward thinking.

Advisors will still be forced to use two separate operating platforms to facilitate their business, as Schwab has no broker dealer clearing business. How does this make an advisor’s life easier?
