Web-based technology makes such wonderful travel possible. The notion that advisors have to “download” data into a package running on their hard drive can be quite 20th century. Everything seems to be transitioning to the 'clouds’ these days including the more technology centric custody providers. The common tasks of rebalancing, performance reporting, fee billing & processing and even paperless account and ACAT transfers should be paperless at this point with the custody providers who built their architecture long ago to accomodate firms like Trovena.
